L2 Company Limited is excited to share key insights from CEO Peter Temple recent interview with The Digital Banker, a globally trusted provider of news, research, and award programs for the financial services sector. In the conversation with The Digital Banker’s, Temple shared how client challenges became the driving force behind L2’s business transformation and discussed the company’s pragmatic approach to adopting new technology.A key theme of the interview was artificial intelligence (AI) and how L2 prioritizes durable technology over hype. “On client projects, we start with the strong business case,” Temple noted, emphasizing that AI investments must be bound to clear and measurable outcomes. He underscored the cautious evaluation of emerging AI techs, such as agentic systems, and stressed that governance, security, and operating cost considerations should guide responsible adoption and production readiness.Reflecting on L2’s journey, Temple explained why the company evolved with client expectations over time. “Clients didn’t just need universal tools; they wanted unique solutions to solve very specific operational issues,” he said. That prompted L2 Company Limited to shift from product development to custom software engineering. Later, L2 also noticed a disconnect between planning and execution at big companies. The response was to add a consultancy, and not as a separate unit but as a part of delivery that stays accountable. Temple also shared his perspective on L2’s long-term success, highlighting how client trust built through competence, delivery credibility, and strategic relevance helps L2 generate more than 60% of its revenue from long-term engagements. He also shared L2’s roadmap for becoming an AI leader in the company’s priority markets — insurance, investments, and healthcare.
